Sometimes people ask, “Why would a baby need to be adjusted?”
Our response is, "Have you ever watched a child develop" and "How many times has that child fallen and hit their head?" For most people, the light bulb goes on immediately.
We're all born with one nervous system and the primary function of our spine is to protect our central nervous system; the spinal cord. Medicine has yet to advance to be able to reproduce or replace the the nervous system as can be done with can a kidney or other organ systems.
While children are perceived as being highly flexible, “Gumby-like” and able to take a 'bounce', their delicate spines can be dramatically affected by the injuries they sustain. Even what we perceive as a minor fall can have an impact on their long-term health.
If we can check the health of their spine during their childhood and provide safe, gentle and effective chiropractic adjustments as needed, our hope is that they can experience a healthier expression of life as they develop and grow older.
